Section E37. Superpowers - Military Defence Treaties in the Case of Attack against the Soil of the Superpower

The Current Global Order includes three Superpowers: USA, China and Russia. Therefore, this analysis compared the Military Backup via the FORMAL Military Defence Treaties (Two-Directions) that each superpower has in the case of an attack against him, both by Multilateral Defence Treaties and by Bilateral Defence Treaties, still, keep in mind, that Military Backup via Land has more advantage compared to Military Backup via Sea.

E37.1 The Case of Attack Against China

In the case of an Attack against China, China Formally has a Military Backup from its neighbours North Korea and Russia based on Two Bilateral Military Defence Treaties: the China-North Korea Treaty and the China-Russia Treaty.

E37.2 The Case of Attack Against Russia

In the case of an Attack against Russia, Russia Formally has a Military Backup from the Members of the CSTO and from China based on the China-Russia Treaty, still, CSTO has Observer States that some of them likely may also give a Military Backup to Russia in the case of attack, such as Iran.

E37.3 The Case of Attack Against USA

In the case of an Attack against the USA, the USA has Formally a Military Backup only from the Members of NATO. USA has formally also the old Multilateral Military Defence Treaty, the Rio Pact, with Latin American countries, but this treaty is not Active, so doubtful if it will provide a military backup to the USA in the case of an attack against its soil.
