Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and its Peninsula Shield Force

The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) is a Political and Economic Alliance in the Gulf Region that plays an important role in the Muslim-Arab Bloc. Peninsula Shield Force of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) is a Military Defence Treaty with a Hard Definition of Commitment to Defend in the Case of an Attack. However, the Military Defence Treaty Formally includes 6 members, but an additional 14 countries may be considered as observer States or even as ‘Informal Members’, because these 14 countries participated in the joint military exercise of North Thunder that was held over one month, from 14 February 2016 until 10 March 2016, at the headquarter of Peninsula Shield Force that located at King Khalid Military City in Hafr Al Batin, Saudi Arabia ("North Thunder military exercises begin in Saudi Arabia" Gulf News).
