Guadeloupe, France

Guadeloupe has been a Colony of France since the 17th century. Guadeloupe has the status of a French region namely, the Department of Guadeloupe, which is similar to other parts in Metropolitan France, so the Regional Council of Guadeloupe is the Regional Assembly of Guadeloupe, while the Departmental Council of Guadeloupe is the governmental authority of Guadeloupe.

Note, Guadeloupe has no official flag, so the French Flag is used in Guadeloupe, as well as different unofficial versions of flags are used in Guadeloupe.
