Blog on Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and International Trade by Dr. Ziva Rozen-Bakher to Identify Risks versus Opportunities at the Country Level

Blog on FDI and International Trade by Alphabetical Order https://www.rozen-bakher.com/search-blog-1

This blog focuses on Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and International Trade in a certain country or territory in terms of how the Location Factors (Political, Economic, Technological, Ecological, Legal and Cultural) and Entry Modes (e.g. M&As, Export and Greenfield) impact the attractiveness - or vice versa - the risks of FDI and International Trade in the certain country or territory, still, keep in mind that each risk may lead to an opportunity for resolving problems via suitable FDI and International Trade, while each opportunity for FDI and International Trade may involve risks.

Since the 17th century, Sint Eustatius has been a Colony of the Netherlands, but over the centuries, other countries fight against Netherlands over the control on Sint Eustatius (e.g. the British empire and France), but eventually, Netherlands has possessed control over Sint Eustatius. Sint Eustatius was part of the Netherlands Antilles from 1954 until 2010, when it dissolved, still, Sint Eustatius was the only island that choses to remain within the Netherlands Antilles. Following the dissolution of Netherlands Antilles, Sint Eustatius became a special municipality of the Netherlands, still, after the dissolutionSint Eustatius started using the US Dollar as its formal currency instead of the Euro like in the Netherlands. However, in 2018, Netherlands replaced the administrative authorities of St Eustatius with a government commissioner due to ineffectively preforming (see below), which was included the dissolution of the elected island council, so only from April 2024, Netherlands fully restored the acting of the administrative authorities of St Eustatius, still, under the status of  a special municipality of the Netherlands, Sint Eustatius does not have an elected Premier, and instead, Sint Eustatius runs by a Governor that appointed by the Netherlands. Although, despite the small population of Sint Eustatius, the local people of Sint Eustatius has wish for self-determination (see below).
