Channel Islands (Bailiwicks of Guernsey and Jersey), UK
The Channel Islands include two Self-Governing Territories of British Crown Dependencies: Bailiwick of Jersey and Bailiwick of Guernsey. The Channel Islands are Colonies of the UK because their Self-Governing Territories fall under British sovereignty namely, the UK is responsible internationally for the Channel Islands, yet the Channel Islands have no representatives in the UK Parliament nor recognition as Independent States. Historically, the Channel Islands were part of France until King John of England took possession of the lands of the Duchy of Normandy in 1204 that was included the Channel Islands, so since then, the Channel Islands have been under England's sovereignty and after that, under the UK's sovereignty.
