Researcher in International Relations with a Focus on Security, Political and Economic Risks for Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and International Trade
03 May 2023 at 09:17. In my PD10 - Research Paper. Rozen-Bakher, Z. The Chess Game of Forming International Trade Agreements: Shaping Global Economic and Political Power that I wrote in 2021, I lay down the theoretical ground for why multilateral trade agreements outside the WTO, such as BRICS Plus, has the most promising political and economic power to change the global order. My research paper PD10 has been treated like ‘Our Earth is a Flattened Sphere and Not a Ball as You Say’, so until today, it was not published. Worse, some people so do not like the research paper PD10 that they even vanished from the paper sections that they don’t via cyber.
What is the Risk? The classical problem of the ‘Earth is a Flattened Sphere and Not a Ball’ illustrates the risk of ‘Fixation Thinking’ that can lead to wrong decision-making and even to the fall of empires.
The USA as a superpower did not identify on time the political and economic power of multilateral trade agreements like its rivals Russia & China. Instead, the USA stuck up with ‘Trangile Earth’, namely with Biliteral Agreements, NATO and Cold-War, while Russia & China looked for new ways via SCO and BRICS Plus to break the hegemonic superpower of the USA at the economic and political levels by creating new alternatives for what exists today via the hegemony of the USA, such as alternatives for Swift, Dominant Dollar, IMF, and even Counter-NATO.
The wave of applications to BRICS Plus indicates that the global order started to change. Thus, my prediction is that for up to 3 years, we will have a new global order that will be dominated by the dual superpowers, Russia and China.
03 May 2023, Current Membership Status of BRICS Plus
Note, the formal information about BRICS Plus membership is limited, especially regarding Dialogue Partners, so the information above is based on open sources and may not fully accurate, still, it gives an indication for the Wave Applications to BRICS Plus
