As expected (Saudi Arabia: Normalization with Israel or Sanctions against Israel? https://www.rozen-bakher.com/timeline-risks/03/05/2024/2007), on 05 May 2024, at the 15th edition of the Islamic Summit of Heads of State and Governments, “OIC condemned the genocide committed by the Israeli occupation in the Gaza Strip, calling on its 57 member states to impose sanctions on Israel”. Therefore, now, the Big question is which countries will impose Sanctions against Israel following the call of OIC. If we look at the case of Russia when the USA called to impose sanctions against Russia, then likely, that it is going to be the same, namely in the coming week up to 2 months, most of the Islamic countries will join the sanctions against Israel, still, some countries may impose full sanctions as Turkey, while other may impose sanctions on certain goods. Importantly, if we look at the list of Members States of OIC (see below), then likely, that the countries that don’t recognize the State of Israel (see the list below) will be the first to join the Sanctions against Israel, such as Saudi Arabia that already declared about its intention to do it, still, even neighbouring countries that recognize the State of Israel like Egypt may join the Sanctions against Israel, while likely that the far countries will join progressively the sanctions.
