29 December 2022 at 05:40. As I predicted, the joy of liberated Kherson became a sorrow for Ukraine because nothing from the city remains except ruins. The case of Kherson should give Zelenskyy an indication of what will be even if Ukraine will succeed temporarily to liberate some territories. Zelensky should get the tough decision yet the right one that it is better for Ukraine to cede some territories to Russia that anyway were under Russian control for a long time, than to continue with this war and lose everything. Zelenskyy has chosen to be a leader and not a comedian, so he should act as a leader for the sake of his nation, Ukraine. Leaders MUST compromise.

The Winter War between Russia and Finland in WWII has similarities to the current war between Russia and Ukraine. The Winter War started due to the refusal of Finland to cede some territories to the Soviet Union in exchange for land elsewhere due to security reasons, namely the protection of Saint Petersburg (Leningrad) that located 32 km from the Finnish border. Eventually, to end the Winter War, Finland ceded some territories to the Soviet Union yet without getting any land elsewhere. Thereby, if Finland had compromised before the Soviet invasion, then at least Finland could have some land in return. However, after the Soviet invasion, Finland ceded territories without getting anything in return. At least, Finland's leaders understood after 3 months of the war, that Finland must compromise.

My prediction is that eventually, Ukraine must cede territories to Russia to end the war, sooner is better for Ukraine, even if Ukraine does not understand it right now.
