Blog on Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and International Trade by Dr. Ziva Rozen-Bakher to Identify Risks versus Opportunities at the Country Level

Blog on FDI and International Trade by Alphabetical Order https://www.rozen-bakher.com/search-blog-1

This blog focuses on Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and International Trade in a certain country or territory in terms of how the Location Factors (Political, Economic, Technological, Ecological, Legal and Cultural) and Entry Modes (e.g. M&As, Export and Greenfield) impact the attractiveness - or vice versa - the risks of FDI and International Trade in the certain country or territory, still, keep in mind that each risk may lead to an opportunity for resolving problems via suitable FDI and International Trade, while each opportunity for FDI and International Trade may involve risks.

Republika Srpska

Disputed Country between Republika Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina

Yugoslavia had six republics, and Republika Srpska was part of the Socialist Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina under Yugoslavia, but ethnic tensions and economic crisis had led to the dissolution of Yugoslavia in the beginning of 1990s, resulting in Yugoslav Wars that were last until 2001, still, their implications last until today. The proclamation of the Republika Srpska took place following the Bosnian War in 1992-1995 namely, Republika Srpska includes two areas within  Bosnia and Herzegovina that Serbs have a majority (see maps below). Since then, Republika Srpska has a self-governing within Bosnia and Herzegovina that includes its president, government, and national assembly. However, the ethnic tension within Bosnia and Herzegovina did not over until today, because Republika Srpska declared about its intention for a self-determination to become an independent country by changing its constitution in March 2025 in order of  establishment its army including determining its military alliances and foreign relations (see below), which has led to dispute with Bosnia and Herzegovina that opposes this act of self-determination by Republika Srpska (see below).
