E18.3 Colonies of NATO Members

According to ‘The area of responsibility’ (697) mentioned in the original treaty of NATO, the Colonies of the NATO members are not party to the Treaty of NATO. Hence, each NATO Member that has Colonies should defend its colonies by its means in the case of an attack against its colonies, which is supposed to impact NATO, even if the Treaty eventually covers the colonies of NATO members, because 9 of NATO Members have in total 45 Colonies with a Distance Average of 6,501KM from the Colonies to the Sovereign States.
