07 April 2022 at 05:51. I believe that diplomacy should prevent wars because the entire world of a family collapses when one of the family members became a casualty of war, so each live account. However, many wars are triggered because of the ‘geopolitics games’ like the case of Ukraine, so I put the blame for this war on both sides. However, if I look at the whole picture of the Ukraine war, I see a war that looks ugly like any war, yet I don’t see organized genocide nor war crimes or crimes against humanity because when it's happened, it's done on all battlefields in mass quantity like other past cases of genocides and war crimes that occurred in our horrifying world, still, in wars, it's happened that some soldiers or units make crimes on contrary to what the army instructed. Nonetheless, the big question is the scope of 'normal war' vs. 'war crimes', and based on what I see from the start of the war until today, in all the regions of Ukraine, it more looks like a 'normal war' over genocide. One of the important indicators for genocide and war crimes is the scope of casualties on both sides because when an army makes organized genocide and war crimes, then the army has minor casualties, while mass casualties on the side of the occupied side, which is not the case in the Ukraine war. The Russian army has many casualties even more than the side of Ukraine because the Russian soldiers were attacked from the high buildings of the cities, as well as in the streets either, by Ukrainian soldiers or by Ukrainian civilians. Hence, in the Ukraine war, civilians participate in the war. Presiden Ukraine calls it 'Ukraine Resistance', so Ukraine organized 'civilian resistance' in a way that they have given weapons to its civilians to allow them to attack Russian soldiers. That's led to a situation in which the threat to the Russian soldiers not only comes from Ukrainian soldiers but also from Ukrainian civilians, resulting in a complex situation on the battlefields in which Russian soldiers have no ability to know which Ukrainian civilians participate in the 'civilian resistance' and which not, resulting in likely cases of casualties among Ukrainian civilians that either, participated or not, in the 'civilian resistance'. The war is not over, so perhaps needed some visible signals to allow Russian soldiers to distinguish between Ukrainian civilians that participated or not in the 'Civilian Resistance' to decrease the casualties among Ukrainian civilians that don't participate in the 'Civilian Resistance'. It may reduce the surprise of attacks, but it will save the lives of Ukrainian civilians.
