12 February 2024 at 03:23. In 1979, two brave men, Menachem Begin, the PM of Israel, and Anwar Sadat, the President of Egypt, at that time, signed a peace treaty between Egypt and Israel. Why Brave? Because peace we do with the enemy and not with a friendly ally. In this case, Anwar Sadat even visited Jerusalem in 1977 including addressing the Knesset to advance the peace treaty, but eventually, he paid with his life for this peace treaty, because two years after signing the treaty, he was assassinated by fundamentalist Egyptian army officers in 1981, which is not surprising if we take into account the view of the 'Arab Street’ in Egypt towards the peace treaty with Israel. Following the peace treaty, Israel returned to Egypt the occupied territory that Israel conquered during the 1963 War (Six Days War) excluding the Gaza Strip which was part of Egypt before the 1967 war. Why Egypt did not ask to get back the Gaza Strip? Because Egypt was wise, namely when Israel occupied the Gaza Strip in 1967, they took responsibility for the ‘Problem’ of Palestinian refugees which was one of the problems of Egypt at that time, so Egypt preferred not to get back the Gaza Strip as part of the peace treaty and to leave the ‘Problem’ of the Palestinian refugees under the hands of Israel that unwisely occupied it from the first place in 1967, while after that unwisely did not return it to Egypt in 1979, and since then, unwisely Israel even has insisted to continue to hold Gaza Strip under Israeli control instead of returning it to Egypt or even allowing the Gaza Strip and West Bank to be an independent country to get rid from this ‘Problem’ for good. However, not only Egypt was wise with the peace treaty with Israel but also Jordan, namely Jordan did not ask to get back the West Bank as part of the peace treaty with Israel, despite that the West Bank was part of Jordan before the 1967 War. Why? Because Jordan like Egypt, preferred not to be responsible for the ‘Problem’ of the Palestinian refugees, especially if Israel insisted on getting this ‘Problem’. It is useless now to start explaining why Israel made a Huge Mistake regarding its wish to get the ‘Problem’ of the Palestinian refugees, because the point now, is that if Israel will give back the 'Problem’ to Egypt by bombarding Rafah, resulting in Ethical Cleaning that will push the Palestinians into Egypt, then my prediction is that Egypt will follow their threat and will suspend the Peace Treaty with Israel that anyway was for long a very ‘Cold Peace’. Even Jordan could suspend the peace treaty with Israel, if Israel will cross the ‘Red Lines’ in the West Bank and East Jerusalem. The clock now ticking for the suspension of the peace treaties with Israel by Egypt and Jordan under the continuing of the Palestinians’ Ethical Cleaning by Israel.

Focusing on Jordan to Identify Risks that Evolve From the Resistance of the ‘Arab Street’ in Jordan toward the Peace Agreement with Israel amid the Israeli Occupation of Palestine that Escalated amid the Hamas-Israel War, which raises Risk of Internal Instability in Jordan, and even the Risk of Military Participate and Assistance by Jordanians in the Military Campaign against Israel and its Allies.
